The current application is no longer under active development. I appreciate all the constructive feedback received so far; however, I regret to inform users that updates will not be forthcoming in the immediate future.

---------- WEB WIDGET VERSION 2 AVAILABLE FOR TESTING ----------

The recently reworked version of Web Widget emphasizes improved performance and user experience. This iteration introduces two distinct widget types: a scrollable widget and a static widget. The static version is recommended for optimal performance, particularly for displaying full-screen web pages, such as smart home controls or custom interfaces. The removal of toolbars, which were deemed resource-intensive without providing significant benefits, has led to the introduction of a streamlined dialog for user interactions, preserving the visual integrity of the home screen widget. This update allows for smarter management of web page content redraws, ensuring that users consistently view the current state of their designated websites.

NOTE: Please be aware that any previously created widgets will need to be recreated or may cease functioning.

----- HOW CAN I JOIN TESTING? -----

To participate in the testing of this new version, navigate to the bottom of the Play Store page where you will find a section titled 'Become a beta tester.' Click on the provided button to join the program.

----- HOW CAN I OPEN THE MENU DIALOG? -----

The widget's menu dialog can be accessed by slowly double-tapping the widget. Alternatively, tapping the widget with two fingers simultaneously has proven to be a more reliable method.

----- WHERE IS FEATURE XYZ? -----

Several features that were part of earlier versions have yet to be implemented in this release. Users are encouraged to submit feature requests either by leaving a review or contacting me via email.

----- HELP, MY WIDGET FLICKERS! -----

A flickering issue is often attributed to an insufficient minimum redraw delay. While the widget is designed to intelligently manage redraws, setting an appropriate redraw speed in the settings can enhance stability.

----- HELP, MY WIDGET CRASHES! -----

Crashes may occur as this is still a preliminary version. If you encounter messages such as 'App has crashed' or 'App is not responding,' detailed crash reports will be automatically sent for analysis to assist in resolving these issues. Users are asked to exercise patience while awaiting further updates or can opt to leave constructive feedback via a one-star review on the Play Store.

---------- INFORMATION ABOUT CURRENT VERSION ----------

This customizable widget enables users to place their favorite websites directly on their home screen, facilitating interaction with web content. Links will open in a new browser window. Due to limited gesture support on home screens, please use the arrow keys located at the bottom of the widget for scrolling or click the pop-out button to open sites in your default browser application.

Customizations available include:

• Setting custom website URLs (local 'file://' URLs supported)
• Requesting desktop or mobile site versions
• Toggling JavaScript on or off
• Selecting custom languages and user agents
• Establishing periodic refresh intervals
• Configuring periodic redraw intervals
• Enabling or disabling mobile data usage
• Adjusting transparency settings
• Restoring previous scroll position and zoom level
• Toggling scrolling animations on or off
• Hiding or displaying toolbars and zoom controls
• Support for resizing (minimum size: 2x2)
